1. TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to BeaverWars.com. By accessing or playing BeaverWars.com, you agree to these Terms of Service:

• 1.1 Eligibility (13+ Age Requirement): You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to play or bind an account, and at least 18 years of age (or have parental consent) to purchase a paid subscription.
• 1.2 Limited License & Seasonal Resets: BeaverWars operates on 30-day seasonal watershed epochs culminating in the "Day 30 Deep Freeze" and "Day 1 Spring Thaw." You are granted a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable entertainment license. All in-game resources (River Gold Nuggets, Sinker Bog Oak, Dams, Lodges, and Vessels) reset each season and carry no cash or property value.
• 1.3 User-Generated Content (Beaver Handles & Obituary Posts): Players may bind a custom Beaver Handle (up to 18 characters) and carve shoreline Obituary Posts (80 to 120 characters). Hate speech, slurs, HTML/script injection, intellectual property infringement, and harassment are strictly prohibited and automatically filtered (`[GNAWED]`).
• 1.4 Fair Play & Anti-Exploit Enforcement: You agree not to use automated macros, packet-replay scripts, or multiple accounts ("Sybil alt-feeding") to manipulate seasonal leaderboards. BeaverWars reserves the right to reset seasonal state or suspend accounts that attempt to bypass rate limits or tamper with storage signatures.
• 1.5 Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability: THE GAME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BEAVERWARS INTERACTIVE LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING ANY CLAIM.
• 1.6 Governing Law, Binding Arbitration & Class-Action Waiver: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to BeaverWars.com shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding individual arbitration (or small claims court in the State of Arkansas), and you waive any right to participate in a class-action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@beaverwars.com.

2. AUTO-RENEWAL, CANCELLATION & 7-DAY REFUND POLICY

BeaverWars.com offers optional monthly recurring digital subscriptions billed in US Dollars ($USD) via Stripe Checkout:

• 2.1 Affirmative Auto-Renewal Disclosure (FTC & State ARL): If you purchase a Watershed Charter ($4.99 USD/month) or Elder Baron Syndicate ($9.99 USD/month) subscription, your payment method will be charged automatically each month on your billing anniversary date until you cancel.
• 2.2 1-Click Self-Serve Cancellation ("Click-to-Cancel"): You may cancel your subscription at any time in 1 click with zero penalty by clicking [TIER] → [STRIPE BILLING PORTAL] inside the game UI, or by emailing support@beaverwars.com. Upon cancellation, your Charter or Baron perks remain active through the end of your current paid billing cycle, after which your account automatically reverts to the Free River Kit ($0/mo).
• 2.3 7-Day No-Questions-Asked Refund Guarantee: If you are dissatisfied with your Watershed Charter or Elder Baron Syndicate subscription for any reason, email support@beaverwars.com within 7 calendar days of your initial charge or renewal for a full 100% refund to your original payment method.

3. PRIVACY POLICY (GDPR, CCPA & COPPA COMPLIANT)

BeaverWars.com practices strict data minimization and collects only the minimum information required to operate the game:

• 3.1 Data We Collect:
  • Guest Play: When you play as a Guest (`Guest_Kit`), game state is stored locally in your browser (`localStorage`) and via an encrypted `HttpOnly` session cookie (`__Host-bw_session`).
  • Bound Accounts: If you bind an account via Passkey, Google OAuth, or Discord OAuth, we store your OAuth identifier, email address (for billing receipts and account recovery), and chosen Beaver Handle.
  • Payment Processing: All credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link transactions are processed directly by Stripe, Inc. BeaverWars.com never sees, processes, or stores raw payment card numbers.
  • Anti-Abuse Security Logs: To prevent multi-account collusion ("alt-feeding") and DDoS attacks, we store a one-way cryptographic hash (`SHA-256`) of your IP subnet and browser user-agent (`ipDeviceHash`), automatically purged every 30 days.
• 3.2 Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance): BeaverWars.com is not directed to children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we immediately delete the account and associated information.
• 3.3 No Sale of Personal Data & 72-Hour Deletion SLA: We never sell, rent, or share player personal data with third-party advertisers or data brokers. You may request permanent deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing support@beaverwars.com.

4. DMCA SAFE HARBOR & INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY NOTICE

• 4.1 Original Code, Art & Open-Font Attribution: All BeaverWars.com source code, hydrological simulation algorithms, pixel canvas graphics, and procedural WebAudio synthesizers are original works of BeaverWars Interactive LLC. Retro typography uses Press Start 2P and Share Tech Mono under the SIL Open Font License (OFL 1.1).
• 4.2 DMCA Takedown Requests (17 U.S.C. § 512): If you believe any user-generated Beaver Handle or Obituary Post infringes your copyright or trademark, please send a notice to our Designated DMCA Agent at support@beaverwars.com with the sector number and handle, and we will remove the offending text within 24 hours.
